My upstairs AC stopped cooling. I checked the error code which indicated low coolant pressure. McCullough sent over Kyle. He checked out the situation and used a sniffer for leaks in attic and said there is a leak in the evaporator. He charged it ...with refrigerant to keep us cool and came back in a few days to replace the evaporator with an OEM part. The leaking one was a little over 10 years old and unfortunately warranty had just ran out. That is about how long they last. He did not stop there and checked the startup capacitor (11 years old) and said it was substantially degraded and replaced that as well. He continued on with checking out my downstairs unit. No issues there. Thorough/Excellent job by Kyle. My only issue was the overall cost (~$3K). He offered 15% discount in exchange for a year of subscription checkup which overall and all inclusive was a tiny discount. Inflation and supply chain - humph !Read More...
