Austin Energy Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® Rebate Program
(Formerly Total Home Efficiency)

Homes that are 10 year old and older need an energy analysis. An energy analysis will gauge how efficiently your home is using energy. Contact us for a complete home analysis. Austin Energy will rebate up to 20 percent of the cost of certain improvements, up to $1400.

Rebates of up to 20% of the cost of these improvements:

• Air conditioner (13 SEER or greater)
• Duct repair and sealing
• Additional attic insulation
• Solar screens, Caulking and Weatherstripping

Austin Energy Air Conditioner Rebates

Austin Energy offers rebates to their electric customers who install high efficiency air conditioning and heating equipment. Today's energy efficient air conditioners use up to 40% less electricity than older models. This reduced use results in major savings. And, customers enjoy a greater level of comfort.

An energy audit is not required to qualify for these rebates.

Austin Energy Multi-Family Energy Efficiency Program

The Austin Energy Multi-Family Program provides cash rebates for making energy efficiency improvements to apartment and other multi-family properties. Owners, developers and property managers enjoy a variety of benefits including:

• Lower operating cost
• Decreased turnover rates
• Increased occupancy rates
• Increases in the market values of their communities
• Rebates up to $100,000

Apartment residents enjoy:

• Utility savings ranging from 10% - 40%
• Improved air quality
• A higher level of indoor comfort

Program Eligibility

• Residents must be Austin Energy electric utility customers
• Only buildings with four or more residential units are eligible.
• The buildings must be air-conditioned.
• The office areas and common areas are also eligible, if air-conditioned

Pedernales Electric Cooperative (PEC) Air Conditioner Rebates

PEC offers rebates to their electric customers who install high efficiency air conditioning and heating equipment. Today's energy efficient air conditioners use up to 40% less electricity than older models. This reduced use results in major savings. And, customers enjoy a greater level of comfort. PEC customers are eligible for the following rebates:

• Air conditioner with gas furnace $150 (12 SEER and above)
• Air-to-air heat pump with electric backup $225 (12 SEER and above)
• Duel-fuel heat pump or ground or water source heat pump $375 (12 SEER and above)

Rebate payments are subject to inspection.
